What stays free, permanently?
Recording, transcription and speaker diarization. They run entirely on your own device, they cost us nothing to provide, and they are unlimited on every plan including Free Personal — with no time limit and no cap on how much you record. Current cloud AI allowances are shown in the plan cards above.
Which languages can Cohearo transcribe?
The current on-device transcription model automatically detects 25 European languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian.
What is an AI enhancement?
Turning a raw transcript into something finished — meeting minutes, user stories, structured notes. That step sends transcript text to our servers, so plans include a monthly enhancement allowance. Current allowances are shown in the plan cards above.
Does my audio go to the cloud?
No. Recording, transcription and diarization all run locally — your audio is never uploaded. AI enhancement is the exception: it sends transcript text, not audio, and only when you ask for it.
How does cloud sync differ between plans?
Cloud storage and retention follow the plan on your account. Your own transcript stays on your device regardless of plan. The dashboard shows the current cloud terms before you subscribe or change plans.
If I cancel, do I lose the transcripts I already synced?
Cancelling does not delete anything from your device. Cloud copies follow the retention terms shown for your account, and new transcripts follow the Free Personal terms after the paid period ends.
Does the audio stay on my device too?
Audio stays on your device for 72 hours, and you can export it at any point inside that window. After that it is removed, so recordings do not fill up your disk. Your transcript is not affected: it stays on your device, and we never delete it.
Does Professional offer a trial?
When a trial is available, its current length and price appear in the Professional card above. Starting an available trial asks for a payment method, but nothing is charged during the trial. It becomes a paid subscription automatically at the price shown when you started unless you cancel first. Creating a Cohearo account is free and never asks for a card — that is a separate step.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, from the billing page in your dashboard. You keep Professional until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing is deleted from your device when you move back to Free Personal.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows, macOS and Linux are fully supported and run well on ordinary hardware — we are the only tool in this category that runs properly on Linux. Mobile is in early access and is not yet as reliable as the desktop apps.
Do I need internet to use it?
Recording, transcription and diarization work fully offline. AI enhancement, realtime chat and cloud sync need a connection.
I joined during the beta. What happens to my account?
You keep the special conditions we promised when we asked you to test it. Everyone who joined during the public beta is on a plan we honour rather than being moved onto the new pricing unannounced — we will contact you directly about your account before anything changes.
